The problem
Safety information exists. It just does not last.
Warnings about venues and e-hailing vehicles circulate in group chats and disappear within a day. SafeClub turns them into a lasting, community-owned record, so a decision can be made before a night out rather than after something goes wrong.
Contribute without exposure
Sensitive reports are anonymous by design, and identifying information is minimised rather than collected by habit.
Signals, not accusations
Community reports are presented as safety signals with clear limits, never as findings of fact about any person.

In development
SafeClub is in active development, with a first pilot planned around one partner university campus in Johannesburg. We are speaking to universities, residences, campus societies and researchers interested in the pilot.
SafeClub is a preventative, community-powered safety tool. It is not an emergency service and does not replace the police, medical services or private security. In an emergency, call 10111.
